dealer in Newport on 28.03.1991 and serviced by them on the first 6
occasions up to 51894 miles. This example will be hard to match easily
with a high degree of originality and its complete factory specification,
the temptation to alter anything over the years has been resisted. Forming
part of a collection since 2010 it has covered just over 3000 miles in that
time and has been lavished with care and attention, it performs exactly
as its supposed to and the years have not blunted it at all. It still wears

The 205 GTi 1.9
A spectacular hot hatch and for may the definitive. The fabulous 1.9-litre
unit is as hot to drive today as it was back then, it is a genuine pleasure
to experience the sheer zest of this car’s 130bhp as it responds so faithfully
to the accelerator, the brakes feel reassuring, but it’s the sheer joie de
vivre of this car’s cornering ability that sets it apart. Driving the car on a
B road displays its firm grasp of perfect weighted steering as it rips and
flows in a linear motion, the chassis flexes and returns beautifully and for
me the non power steering model is the more undiluted version.

This is truly a vehicle that one must create opportunities to use, its so
happy and free revving you cannot help but grow horns as soon as you turn
the key. It is exceptionally well detailed and nourished. The previous owner
waxed it regular with Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub and as such it has a deep
wet look finish. It is beautiful in all areas with no disappointing aspects
to it. The underside is free from any corrosion and is solid. The cabin is
lovely. The engine bay is detailed.

History & Servicing - 19 Stamps
The service records are very comprehensive, it has been lavished with
attention and a money no obstacle attitude. The history is vast including
a fully stamped service booklet that has actually full ran out of slots
to stamp. Recently a full service was carried out (Jan 17) with new oils
and filters, fuel filter, air filter. spark plugs, rotor dizzy etc. The
file is thick with history.

Also
A full laser track has been done recently and as a result the car is
beautifully poised. This a matching numbers vehicle with original engine
chassis and gearbox, it has never been meddled with and never been crashed
as far as any inspections I have carried out can determine. A UK supplied
vehicle and it is 100 % hpi clear with no adverse info ever applied.

Vehicle Summary
Tines have changed but this car has not, and it looks reads and drives
wonderfully. Great wee investment example to be exercised and stored with
sympathy.
