It is from every angle nothing less than a stunning exceptional vehicle. This, a fantastic genuine specimen sporting the correct desirable options insuring long term solid residuals. The models secret lies in its rigid quality structure that makes it near impossible to determine the difference between this & four door coupe motoring. This is the final incarnation of the E46 model falling on an 06 plate, these cars have now stopped depreciating and are becoming rather sought after. A great investment modern classic. Look/Drive Note the keen aggressive looks of the factory M specced car. This face lifted model features the broader kidney grill and the higher setting of the indicators to the front wings. Deeper & broader front and rear bumpers, fully de chromed & revised side skirts. Lightweight 18 inch rims, bigger more powerful brakes and the main event being the M suspension and dynamic stability control, the M sport models also have a tuned exhaust. Performance - Why the 325? Performance alone is mere figures and don't do justice to the creaminess of the throttle response, the flexibility of the engine nor the brilliant balancing of all the major controls. Over 90% of its torque is available from as low as 1,500rpm, making this an extremely effective cross country tool. The note from the car exhaust is a muted deep rumble of power. Predictably impressive sixty arrives occupying just under 7 secs and a top speed in excess of 150 mph. The cars electronics constantly monitor its pitch and yaw making this 192bhp rear wheel drive sports car safer on a wet road than almost all other cars. Strong on economy will return easily 35 - 40 mpg on the run as lots of power doing little work and wont harm your pocket. It is widely known that the 6 cylinder 2.5 unit is the best BMW made, its not stressed and is not typically hammered by the speedsters that bought the 330 model. The Party Piece A clever piece of kit as well. Should the Automatic traction control and stability systems included as standard not be enough to prevent the car flipping over, strong steel beams instantly shoot out from behind the rear head restraints to protect the occupants skulls. When folded, the hood sits neatly under a metal cover. Redesigned front seats, unique to the convertible, incorporate the seat belts into their structure, rather than attaching them separately to the car body. The triple-layer hood itself has a padded lining to reduce wind noise and there is a proper glass rear window, with demister, in place of the old easily scratched plastic pane that plagues so many soft tops. The BMW 3 Series Convertible is the best in the business. What Sets It Apart? This is a very highly specified model from the factory that specced cost in excess of £35000 when you add up all the cost options. To this end as a used buy it represents exceptional value for money with little pain to be with depreciation, its done all its going to do. The paint is superb with a wet look finish thanks to some intensive detailing with Meguiars products. The condition of this car is way above average for miles it has covered and without any stretch of the imagination it is in excellent used condition. Genuinely looks & drives half the mileage. The cabin in particular remains very box fresh with very clean seats which should suit even the fussiest of tastes, the drivers seat is very straight as pictured, the rear and boot area barely used. Everything in full working order. The engine bay is as new and all four arches - a common area for rust, are blemish free. Servicing & Other Information Nothing outstanding. Drives utterly without fault with a real gem of an engine that is super smooth and silent from cold through hot. The last service was at just under 72000 miles inclusive of the oil filter, a brake caliper got replaced alongside 2 new suspension arm bushes and a brake pipe. Also recently, bot front discs and pads were changed. Wheels & Tyres Proper genuine lightweight MV 2 rims, not cheap heavy poorly balanced imitations that compromise the ride. The tyres are all recent and still as new. I have just had the alloys professionally restored inside and out to an extremely high standard, they looks as new. I also replaced the centre caps and M stripe badges.
