Porsche 944 S2 Coupe 1992 J 79,000 Miles Brilliant Black LY9B & Grey Leather Factory 10 Speaker HiFi & Bridge Spoiler File of Service History 6 Owners HPi Clear This car looks amazing and will make someone very happy indeed. S2 Coming from an era when Porsche were really trying, these models were engineered to a level that no other Porsche mass production model ever had been before or arguably has since. The vehicle has perfect balance due to perfect 50/50 weight distribution, a superb fair weather touring car as it eats roads up with total composure and prowess, a remarkable balance of power and drive. The build quality is second to none, it was made to stand the test of time - and it has. A rare find in Brilliant black, this is a solid colour not metallic and it looks just right, a colour that really suits the car and shows it's muscular lines at their best. The miles are correct at just 79,000, there can't be many low mileage cars out there remaining so it's refreshing to see one in this very much original condition. It's stunning. Being a late model it has the desirable bridge spoiler and has been well specified with the HiFidelity 10 Speaker package and Grey leather. A file of history accompanies and the condition as a whole is consistent with the low miles. Service & History A well cared for Porsche. For the last number of years it has been being maintained by a respected Rolls-Royce Bentley specialist in Canterbury. The service booklet is present and has 13 stamps. The all important belts were changed in 2013 and this included.. Timing belt Balance belt PAS & Alternator belts Rollers & Tensioners ..and in 2015 the clutch was changed. The most recent service was in July this year and it has a full year MoT. Drives first class with an excellent suspension and braking system and no noises at all other than the correct ones, as driving cars go it is hard to find anything much better. Pulls cleanly and progressively with no smoke or drama pushing excellent oil pressure on the gauge, gearbox and clutch are like a knife through butter with crucially no release bearing noises or drag. Cannot be faulted mechanically. There is a youthful zest here that you just do not get with higher mileage cars, it's a mixture of solidity and the way it presents it's torque, there is no substitute for low miles. A file of history accompanies presented in a smart presentation ring binder with many old MoT's and invoices. Current miles: 79,360 Next service due: 12months Next belt change due: 2017 Next MoT due: July 2017 Bodywork All the paintwork is highly glossy and shiny with no areas of concern around the sills. Walking around the body shows all details present and correct and nothing has been altered from stock appearance. All exterior trim is in good order including the rubbers and seals, stone guards, decals and badges etc. No sign of any previous incidents with all the body shut lines and gaps true round the wings, doors and headlights. There are no cracked lighting lenses or otherwise tatty components. Even all the glass is superb, with no delamination, chips or scratches. This is a rot free car, there is not a single blister anywhere even on the usual suspect places. Few stone chips, that's all there is to report. A genuine good straight example folks, there is literally nothing to not to be happy with and there is no room for improvement anywhere without getting silly. Aboard Timewarp style preservation is the theme throughout a cool matt finish cabin just like it would have been when new. The cabin is lovely and original with a really nice set of seats in great low mileage order, the carpets are fresh and youthful with a nice set of fitted mats, dashboard with no cracks. The three spoke steering wheel is a delight with perfect stitching and no unsightly wear. I believe this was a genuine Porsche option of the day and is a very cool feature that finishes a very smart pristine clean unmarked cabin that scores absolute top marks for presentation. The boot and luggage area is in especially good order with immaculate carpeting and no missing clips. Roof and headlining are utterly perfect with zero deform or swell. Lift the boot carpet to find an unused spare wheel with a complete toolkit. Shoes They say there is much to tell about a man from his shoes. Same can be said about a car... Design '90 Porsche rims, these are the correct factory items for the car and they are immaculate with zero kerbs. Bright clean silver finish with a deep shine is a superb professional job. Silver crested centres and finished with brand new OEM satin black lightweight wheel nuts and new valves. This is how they are supposed to look, accept no less. Wrapped with matching premium Pirelli rubber, the correct factory set up for the car: Front 205/50/16 Rear 225/45/16 Top marks. Summary Certainly an appreciating investable Porsche asset, a position that cannot be contradicted, this example should make someone very happy indeed, zero depreciation now. This is a genuinely nice car, you can be assured that viewing would not be a wasted journey no matter who far you have to travel - we hear this all the time from our customers who have traveled distances only to be disappointed with misdescribed cars and unrealistic sellers, that's not the Modern Classic way. First man to view this will be the proud new keeper. All part exchanges will be seriously considered.
