Showcar Complete Unspoiled Porsche Dealer/Specialist Service History 75,000 Miles - 1 Dr Owner From New Unrepeatable - An Appreciating Example To Keep 1 owner (a surgeon) from 1990 onwards. First registered by Lancaster Porshe and delivered to Mr C. Palmer on November 1990, a keen enthusiast. Mr Palmer was a fastidious owner and cared for his 944 without question and used only the best specialist services. He kept every receipt and invoice, every tax disc and old mot. He kept notes on work it needed prior to going to the dealer for service, notes on conversations he had with dealers, letters he wrote to DVLA and anything related to the 944 he could find in the media. The only thing missing here is receipts for petrol. Mr Palmer knew one day this birth-to-present collection of paperwork would all matter if he would ever part with the car. Sadly he never did part with his car, his widow let it go earlier this year. It has a simply incredible service record extending to no less than 3 files, a remarkable car with respect to provenenace, mechanical prowess, condition, originality and drive. Finished in Panthero Schwarz metallic the colour is fantastic and for me the colour is key to the model. Accompanying the service book (13 stamps plus many other supplementary stamps for belts and fluids) is a massive portfolio of bills detailing historic receipts and invoices for everything aside fuel. Including, though not limited to, all mots, every tax disc 1990 -2015, fully stamped service book, three keys, tags, cards and misc Porsche items. In addition it features a photographic history file, various letters, articles and collectable items of great interest over the large files. This has been a cherished car all its' life. The bill of sale is even present documenting the sale to the first owner. All the black work and seals that can perish over time are in fine order. The interior carpets to boot and floor are as good as you will find with just a hint of patina, the dash is in excellent condition and it's all as tight as factory new. The engine bay is especially tidy having benefited from some deep cleaning and refinishing of specific areas during detailing process. Peel the carpet away in the boot to reveal how original it truly is with all labels and factory seams. I have inspected the underside and was amazed at how clean and dry it is. Solid as a rock, no sign of corrosion past or present. Anyone would struggle to source a better S2 or one that was properly set up ready to be enjoyed. The car is almost too nice to drive, best stored properly and taken to shows, we can guarantee you that an example like this will be extremely hard to replicate.
