Foreword - Try & Find Another
It seems only a few years ago that a good S2 was only half this value and
budget Porches are now a thing of the past, however everything good
and bad ends sometime and the truth is that even then the cars were a superb
bargain in comparative terms, and they still are for what they represent.
The best of the last 944 models whether it be the turbos or S2 were
always highly sought after, only now they are all but extinct forcing up
prices again. At coming on 25 years they are reaching historic status and the
further the prices of air cooled cars go the more appetite there is for
all things classic Porsche. Personally I have always leaned towards the S2
with it huge engine torque and flexibility the power is always more accessible
and the ultimate drivers car.

The Car
This is among the last of the Series 2 productions cars representing the
ultimate evolution of the classic water cooled front engined 944s. First
registered by Dick Lovett Porsche the vehicle was maintained by them for
many many years and still wears its original dealer plates and reg number
which speaks volumes about its history and how its been managed. Superb
originality, and this is an all systems go example that has been fettled
and finely tuned, rarely found in such complete whole working order. The
originality is entire with all the correct factory build stickers, read on

Servicing - 23 Stamp History - £12000 Of Receipts
Covered a mere 104000 miles and accompanied with a large service history
file detailing years of pampering and care. The history is vast and covers
many aspects of 944 ownership with a thick binder full of bills of late of
which a brief summary is below. The Porsche service booklet is fully stamped
up with the car being serviced at only the best of specialists. Every owner
of the car is unusually listed at the front of the service book, records and
points of fact have been high on the agenda from the astute owners that is the
theme throughout the whole vehicle. The originality is further enhanced with
details such as all glass side front & rear having the original registration
number etched in, a superb ambassador for the model, amongst the best
remaining. 17 Engine services documented, 6 brake fluid changes plus.

Over & above the routine servicing and replacing of fluids below is a summary

out just 6 weeks ago ( April 15 ), the oil and filter were changed with OEM

Condition & Originality
This high spec Porsche is a beautiful example with show winning potential.
Having owned scores of these cars I have seen everything from a 1 to a 10
and this is among the most original of cars remaining anywhere. The 944
model as any model has its weak spots however this vehicle has been maintained
on a preventative rather than reactive basis which is how all good Porches are
treated. In appraising the car it can be commented that it has a fast spinning
starter motor that fires the engine with a high quality battery. The oil pressure
is 5 bar cold and 3 bar hot after a long run. The clutch is light and smooth
and without clutch release bearing noises and the gearbox is precise and slick.
The cabin is original and immaculate with virtually no wear indicators, the
gear lever gator is the original and is perfect with no separation and is
well fed. The leather seats and door cards are lovely. The carpets underneath
the fitted mats are original and unspoiled. The headlining is without fault
and all the seams are just as they ought to be, the sunroof lifts correctly and
seals correctly electrically with no noise and it lifts out also for the rare
elusive sunny UK days out. The dash has no splits or holes drilled in it, it is
without blemish. All electric seats work properly as does the clock with no lcd
breakdown. The fan works properly on speeds 1 through to 4, and the white
factory build stickers are present in the boot on the rear panel and the B post
passenger side. The internal boot release mechanism works without fault and all
boot pins clips seals & fasteners are as new, a car to be shown and proud of.
The engine bay is very tidy indeed. The many images I have convey the wonderful
condition.

Other Information
Available with all the original documentation plus the genuine Red spare wheel
in the boot alongside a complete toolkit. Also in the load is the genuine large
Porsche compressor. The alloys are the correct designated Forged D90 rim specific
to the 91 car, not to be confused with just any D90s, these are the correct
offset Wearing matching Uniroyal Rain tyres to exact Porsche specification. This
is a matching numbers vehicle with original engine chassis and gearbox, it has
never been meddled with and never been crashed, it is 100 % hpi clear with no
adverse info ever applied.

This 944 S2 is a fast appreciating Porsche classic that is only now beginning to
pick up its heels. The cars offer a unique Porsche driving experience when all
component's are properly harmonised. In the current market there is little that
rivals it and are asking a premium in price given such complete rare Porsche models
