What we have here is an opportunity to acquire one of the sweetest most genuine
series 2 944's available anywhere. Becoming a really hard article to find with
low miles. We are therefore feeling genuinely excited with this lovely Show
condition example that is factory correct to the last eye popping detail.

944
Coming from an era when Porsche were really trying and as such these models were
over engineered to a level that no other mass production Porsche model ever had
been before, or arguably has since. Precision balance due to perfect 50/50 weight
distribution and a superb fair weather touring car, it eats roads up with total
composure and prowess, a remarkable balance of power and drive. The build quality
is second to none and was made to stand the test of time and consequently has.

A member of the House of Lords, the previous keeper kept this car 5 years. It's
had 7 keepers in its' 26 years, not high for this sort of car at all.
Crucially, there must have been a huge figure spent banishing the miles making
this the beautiful car that it is. If it had just 5000 miles on it, you wouldn't
argue.

Condition is simply fantastic with what looks like a huge amount of brand new
items in and around the car and there is a huge file of paperwork presented in
chronological order to accompany. Unmarked and in concourse condition it exudes
a softness and shine normally only associated with brand new cars, too clean to
drive, this is for Sunday shining, for looking at and talking about at meets.
Record keepers will be delighted with a presentation ring binder file that
accompanies with all the old MoT's, invoices bills etc, two inches thick. Lots
of information stretching as far back as 1993. Service booklet is present, it
has just been serviced and timing belts done 2016.

Karroserie
Paintwork is simply stunning, the car is too nice to drive. There are no marks
at time of writing, it really looks like it's just come off the production line.
A walk round of the body reveals stunning paint with a smooth high gloss finish,
not a chip or tar spot in sight. The panels around the front of the car align
perfectly with clean and even gaps and the whole body shines with the same level
of finish which is of a very high quality.
Lower wings and sills are a soft spot on 944's, but this example has it's original
sills and they have been well preserved and inspect perfectly. The clear stone
guards are present and so well fitted they are almost invisible and the
rarely-ever-seen number plate mounts are present front and rear, mounted with the
correct fittings and grommets. All rubber trim is immaculate and well preserved
around the glass and particularly the boot spoiler could be new. All around the
circumference of the windscreen and the sunroof is perfect also. Badging and decals
and gaskets all appear as new, tow eye covers present and perfect, correct red fuel
cap works from the master key and all light lenses are clear and free from any
damage.
This is a car in concourse condition. It really must been seen in the flesh.

Cabin
Leather comfort chairs in navy (Marine) blue, a theme that stretches throughout the
cabin. All is amazing in here, unworn gear shifter, perfect beautifully finished
steering wheel and a working clock, the carpet mats are brand new and of the highest
quality, the lighter works, no broken hinges on the glove or armrest, no missing
carpet tacks etc etc.. None of the common 944 problems here.
Everything works, all presents well and I can see there has been significant
expenditure on brand new genuine/factory items in many places. It appears anything
that may have shown even slight wear - has been replaced for brand new.

ICE
All original factory Blaupunkt Toronto radio cassette and factory option 10 speaker
Hi-Fi has never been interfered with and it works! Open the centre console and you
can store your cassette tapes in the sleeves - lovely to see this for completeness
usually these are discarded. Top marks again.

Wheels & Tyres
Wheels are as new, freshly refinished and with zero marks. Handles like a ballet
dancer with the correct S2 set up:

205/55/16 Front Uniroyal
225/50/16 Rear Dunlop SP

All tyres are nearly new and have at least 7mm off treads and correct factory
specified coloured crested centres finish each corner off perfectly and the
lightweight magnesium bolts are all tidy and finished properly. This is the work of
a keen enthusiast. Looks like new.. 10/10 again.

Final word
We have sold many 944 models over the years and they have a massive following,
amongst the finest engineered cars ever made, today they are cheap to run and insure
and are a really good solid investment with now steady appreciation. This one is
special, drop dead gorgeous right down to the set of spare keys and immob' fob.
For the collector, enthusiast or an investment purchase.
