1992 Porsche 944 S2 Coupe - Final
Edition 22 Stamp Service Record Meticulous Paperwork First registered 28.01.1992 by Dutton Forshaw OPC in St Johns Wood in London, and pre delivery inspected just two days later. This is the final model year for production on S2 models and a prime candidate to be gradually improved upon as it ticks so many other crucial boxes. The car has been in regular use and has a high mileage of 183,000 as it has been a daily driver. With prices appreciating steadily this is an opportunity for someone to get on the ladder of ownership at a sensible price allowing for some repairs and improvement whilst still benefiting from the ongoing use of the car, this is no restoration. However, its no finished article either as the images will convey though with many redeeming features. We have other 944 cars at more than double this price that are finished garage queens. This is a matching numbers non accident damaged car intact with solid mechanicals and a wonderful service history. Chassis : WPOZZZ94ZMN401155 Engine : 42M02785 Dor : 28 01 1992 Colour : Copenhagen Blue Cabin : Classic Grey Leather/Blue piped Service History - 22 Stamps + Full MOT History + Complete History File The file dates back to the mid 90s with all the previous mots and many documented timing belt changes. The service record makes very good reading being maintained by OPC and other independents. Accompanying the fully stamped service book is an equally impressive presentation folder with tens of thousands in bills and all previous mots back to the 1990s. In addition, the service book which is almost complete, details 6 brake fluid changes and 5 other dealer stamps. A quick look at the file would indicate ongoing regular maintenance with many key items being overhauled. I note that the clutch has been changed with new slave and master cylinders. The brakes have been overhauled and a new wiper linkage fitted. All tyres are in excellent condition with Pirelli P Zero Rossos up front with about 4mm, and he rears are Uniroyal rain tyres with about 6mm remaining. The alloys are genine OEM Porsche fitment and whilst they all have superficial marks, are in good condition. Cabin Interior features includes full electric pack with windows mirrors and sunroof that also doubles up as a targa as it pulls out. Climate control, CD player, central locking and 4 way electric seats. Highly original with spec as it left the factory. Note all the correct amber lenses and side repeaters. The two original keys are present, with all factory labels correct to the boot, b post, petrol flap, under engine etc. The cabin is rather tidy and original, no splits in the dash, seats all intact, steering wheel in excellent condition, gear shift tip shows slight wear, carpets clean and dry, and nothing broken or missing. Boot carpet in good condition. Condition This vehicle will require work. It has failed its MOT due to corrosion on the sills. To make it right it would require new sills and front wings, the drivers side worse than the passenger side. The rest of the panels all have marks here and there and its not pretty bodily however with I reckon about a 2k spend this car will be revived as is wholly intact. Mechanically it starts and drives well, good brakes clutch and suspension. The engine holds good oil pressure and is not noisy. If it were not for the fact that we have too many other cars in a line awaiting preparation I would be undertaking this work and asking far more money, this even despite the high miles this is a great driving S2 with proper history.
