1992 Porsche 968 3.0 Manual Coupe Rhd
27 Stamp Service Record
Former Porsche Press Car
Outstanding Condition

First registered in UK by AFN Porsche cars GB on 01.08.1992 making this
one of the earliest 968 models possible. The car remained at the dealership
for 2 years being used by management and as an ambassador for the then
new model. It also appeared on the stand at the London motor show in that
year and was rather a well known example in Porsche circles at the time.
The service record makes extremely good reading being maintained by OPC
and other quality independents consistently never missing a service schedule.
As such the engine appears to be free from any stress and despite the modest
mileage remains rather box fresh to drive. Only 5 owners in 25 years and
the most recent keeper owned for over 10 years, its has truly been a loved
car, and in this instance the principle of buying on the strength of
condition, not mileage, has never been more apt.

Some other recent work listed below.

- New boot lock mechanism
- Calipers stripped and cleaned on the rear
- Brake discs and pads rear
- Recent set of Pirelli P7 tyres
- Wheel alignment

The car wants for nothing looking and driving exactly as it should
thanks to knowledgeable enthusiastic owners and those that are prepared
to spend. As such this 968 is very well set up and is a turn key ready
to perform sports car. Upon a sale I will have a fresh MOT carried out
so it has the fullest of tests for the new owner.

Interior features includes full electric pack with windows mirrors and
sunroof that also doubles up as a terga as it pulls out. Climate control,
CD player,  central locking and 4 way electric seats. Highly original with
spec as it left the factory. Note all the correct amber lenses and side
repeaters, the cup mirrors, the Cup 1 smaller 16 " alloys that the car
handles best on, the correct spec size and rating of tyres, total toolkit,
red spare wheel, leather owners wallet with all handbooks, and the luggage
blind. All factory labels correct to the boot, b post, petrol flap, under
engine, etc.

Condition
The metallic paint work is truly stunning with no imperfections. A light
detailing session reveals a truly original car with quality finish and
no disappointing cosmetics. The alloys refinished recently by the wheel
specialist have coloured centres. All the black work and seals that
can perish over time is equally fresh. The interior carpets to boot and
floor are excellent. The dash is in excellent condition and all switchgear
works as intended. The leather is well fed and again in excellent condition
having being well treated. The engine bay is truly immaculate. Peeling the
carpet away in the boot reveals how original it truly is as the images all
suggest. I have inspected the underside and was amazed at how clean and dry
it is with no corrosion and needless to say, no welding or dodgy repairs
and no leaks. Anyone would struggle to source a better 968 and one that is
properly set up ready to be enjoyed. This car will pass any inspection and
reckon it to suit even the fussiest of standards.

An Appreciating Model To Keep
The pinnacle of Porsche's continuous development of its original 4cyl
water cooled front engine, even today for the purist driver it remains
a sensation almost unequalled in any other Sports car. The 968 is the
ultimate evolution of that classic formula that had been refined since
the late 70s. There is no substitute for condition, or a flawless service
record. Granted you may buy one cheaper however the quality of this
example will remain long after the price has been forgotten, the miles are
higher than many but honestly looks and drives like one third of them, with
value of all cars only ever going to go up, this will become less important
with time, condition is everything.
