Original & Unmolested Appreciating Classic
60000 Miles With Excellent Service History

Model To Keep
The pinnacle of Porsche's continuous development of its original 4cyl
water cooled front engine, even today for the purist driver it remains
a sensation almost unequaled in any other Sports car. The 968 CS is the
ultimate evolution of that classic formula that had been refined since
the late 70s.

Chassis WPOZZZ96ZSS815061
Engine 42RO2266
Colour Black
Cabin Charcoal Cloth Comfort Seats

This is a genuine C16 UK Rhd factory built Clubsport first registered in
the UK on 6.6.94 and pre delivery inspected and delivered by H R Owen on
11.7.94. Included in the history file is the Certificate Of Authenticity
which shows the car had added convenient factory options of side
protection moldings, central locking and a removable electric sunroof.

The Clubsport
The weight difference officially is 50kg, the alternator on the CS was
reduced from 1610w to 1260w, battery was reduced from 63ah to 50ah.
The red, white or black Club Sport script down the side was standard
on the CS though not on the Sport. Black cloth seats were standard and
this car has the more practical comfort seats. Manual front windows,
rear seats were removed and replaced with a shelf. A lighter wiring loom,
rear wiper delete, rear boot lock delete with internal boot release handle,
M030 suspension and 17 inch Cup alloys. A few other details separate the
model.

Engine & Drive
The Varioram systems sole purpose is designed to improve torque
significantly between 1,500 & 5,500 rpm to give a maximum torque of
305Nm at 4,100, and a hefty 240 bhp from 4 cylinders and that's all
motor in there with no fancy aspiration. A quick 6 speed gearbox to
further help refine engine usability and gearing whilst helping improve
cruising economy overall. To this day is regarded as amongst the best
handling road cars in existence. The chassis is perfectly balanced
with a delicacy that makes it accessible to virtually anyone. It
feels special, exotic even. The throttle response is instant. The
power delivery is linear and strong and crucially it feels honest
and mechanical and as such remains a classic focused sports car
from an era where Porsches were made to drive.

Exterior
It is impressively original and the coachwork is virtually flawless
with no dents or scratches and no sign of any corrosion. All of the
rubber seals remain in excellent condition and removable sunroof lifts
out for some open top motoring. The previous keepers have maintained
and stored to an extremely high standard and it shows in the preservation
of its condition.

Interior
The interior really is perfect, there is no wear to any of the
seats, the carpets look like new and none of the plastic trim has
been damaged or scratched. The cabin is a place where time has stood
still. The boot is very clean and dry as is the whole cabin and
the engine bay is highly detailed and scrupulously clean. All
the switchgear works as Porsche intended with no faults found.

Engine & Transmission
This 968 has an excellent history file that demonstrates that
it has been maintained to strict standards throughout its life.
The engine idles smoothly and delivers an exhilarating surge of
acceleration as the power spins in. The gearbox feels exactly as
it should and changes with the precision you expect from a Porsche.
The engine bay looks like that of a car that is months old not
years. The Clubsport remains light & compliant in a very pleasing way
and can move along A & B roads in record times and is never under
stress.

Wheels Tyres & brakes
Fitted with the correct standard lighter 17" Cup 2 Porsche alloys
that are all in excellent condition, they are all shod in high quality
Continental tyres which are great summer driving tyres with remarkable
grip with minimal wear. It tracks very well along the road and there
are no vibrations or imbalances, just as it should be.

the balance belts and pas belts. A new clutch was fitted at this
time too with a new dual mass flywheel. The alternator has been

now due a scheduled service to keep the book bang up to date as its
coming on two years since the last one, albeit having had very little
use since. The annual MOT has just been done and it sailed it without
a single advise, which was expected. Other recent work has involvd a new
windscreen and the steering rack and pump being overhauled.
