Porsche 968 Coupe
Outstanding Condition
23 Stamp Service Record
Meticulous Paperwork
2 Owners & 85,000 Miles

An Appreciating Model To Keep
The pinnacle of Porsche's continuous development of its original 4cyl
water cooled front engine, even today for the purist driver it remains
a sensation almost unequaled in any other Sports car. The 968 is the
ultimate evolution of that classic formula that had been refined since
the late 70s. There is no substitute for condition, this 968 has been
lady owned since it was a young car and has never been stressed or
abused and as such is in remarakable order with a flawless service
record. Granted you may buy one cheaper however the quality of this
example will remain long after the price has been forgotten.

First registered 01.03.1993 by Porsche cars GB in Reading and remained
in their name for 4 years until passing to its long term lady owner and
Porsche enthusiast family who has maintained this Porsche wonderfully
for the last 20 years. Finished in flattering Slate Grey the colour
suits the model so well as does the tiptronic gearbox which gives the
driver the option of lazy or spirited driving mode, it suits the peaky
power of the engine very well indeed. The service record makes very good
reading being maintained by OPC and other independents. Accompanying the
fully stamped service book is an equally impressive presentation folder
with £000s of bills and all previous mots. Lady driven this engine has
never been stressed and with a relatively low mileage is still rather box
fresh to drive, it has truly been a loved car.

Service History - 23 Stamps + Cambelt/Major Service 800 Miles ago
The car wants for nothing looking and driving exactly as it should thanks
to knowledgeable enthusiastic owners and those that are prepared to spend.
The folder is thick with bills that even include the original sales
documentation and historical letters between Porsche and the family.
The file dates back to the mid 90s with all the previous mots and 4
documented timing belt changes.

In September 2016 and at 84989 miles the cam belt and balance belts plus all
tensioners and idlers were changed by PCT Porsche specialist in Coventry.
They also gave the car a major service and a brake fluid change. Other major
work carried out of late is below.

- New camshaft chain by dealer at 49000 miles
- Gearbox overhauled at £2200 cost just 2000 miles ago
- Complete brake overhaul front to rear plus refurbished hubs £1000
- New alternator
- New matching Bridgestone SO2 tyres
- New battery

As such this 968 is rather well set up and is a turn key ready to perform
Sports car.

Interior features includes full electric pack with windows mirrors and sunroof
that also doubles up as a targa as it pulls out. Climate control, CD player,
central locking and 4 way electric seats. Highly original with spec as it
left the factory. Note all the correct amber lenses and side repeaters, the
cup mirrors, alloys, the correct spec size and rating of tyres, total toolkit,
first aid kit, red spare wheel, kompressor, leather owners wallet with all
handbooks, and the luggage blind. The two original keys are present, with
all factory labels correct to the boot, b post, petrol flap, under engine,
and on the glass.

Condition
The metallic paint work is truly stunning with no imperfections. A light
detailing session reveals a truly original car with quality finish and
no disappointing cosmetics. The alloys refinished recently by the wheel
specialist have crested Black centres. All the black work and seals that
can perish over time is equally fresh. The interior carpets to boot and
floor are excellent. The dash is in excellent condition and all switchgear
works as intended. The leather is well fed and again in excellent condition
having being well treated. The engine bay is truly immaculate. Peeling the
carpet away in the boot reveals how original it truly is as the images all
suggest. I have inspected the underside and was amazed at how clean and dry
it is with no corrosion and needless to say, no leaks. Anyone would struggle
to source a better 968 and one that is properly set up ready to be enjoyed.
This car will pass any inspection and reckon it to suit even the fussiest of
standards.
