1982 LANCIA BETA 2000 2 + 2 SPYDER RHD 5 SPEED MANUAL Stunning Paintwork Interior & Underside Excellent History File 9K Of Bills Ultra-Rare Investment Classic BBS Polished Split Rims Israeli Air Force Blue 63000 Warranted Miles The Spyder The Beta 2000 is a rare car and the 2000 is the engine to have with a lively peaky unit that truly loves to be revved, these Lancia’s with this unit drive superbly and on a summers evening with the roof down the feedback from the car and input from the driver is a match made in motoring heaven. Features a Targa top roof panel, a roll-over bar and folding rear roof. The styling is unique, designed by Pininfarina but actually, built by Zagato. Lampredi twincam 113 bhp, neutral front wheel drive handling, independent suspension with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the cars are pretty light and handle and stop very well. The Spyder exudes an extravaganza as with all things Italian, a car that is bought with the heart and not the head, the engine sounds fantastic and sweeping in and out of corners downshifting is the cars ace card, difficult to have more fun than this with your clothes on, the twin cam picks up and goes like a scalded cat with a unique soundtrack. Condition The paint is beautiful having benefited from a bare metal glass out panels off respray in August 2017 at a cost of £5000, this is all illustrated within a bespoke photo album. Finished wonderfully in Israeli Air Force Blue, a great shade and a very professional no holds barred paint job; this Lancia can go to straight to your local show. Needless to say, there is no rust areas of concern and no imperfections on the paint. Since being painted it has covered less than 600 miles on the road. The interior has been tastefully retrimmed in good quality Tan leather with a Diamond pattern. The dashboard and door cards have been re upholstered in leather also. Period wooden steering wheel and gear knob finish the look. The alloys are stone mint with a polished finish, shod with matching as new Pirelli tyres. Both the Targa top and the rear soft top are in perfect condition looking to have been replaced recently. K&N filter element sits on top allowing the engine to breathe properly. Upgraded ignition leads to help it spark cleaner. History - £9000 Spent documented in last 3 years and 600 miles A thick folder of bills dating back to the 80s accompanies the car, inclusive of a comprehensive MOT history warranting the very low mileage. Nice touches such as original sales poster and owners’ handbooks complete what is an excellent story. This Beta has been loved and of late had absolute fortunes spent on it painstakingly by a previous owner who had exacting standards and a love of Italian classics. The underside (which is pictured in the gallery) is in fantastic condition. 6 former owners, a summary of the most recent overhauls is detailed below, this all supported in the documented file. I will be putting a fresh MOT on as soon as I have a buyer. In addition to what is set out below there has been a lot of labour-intensive hours just sorting out niggles and adjustments. - Cambelt and tensioner replaced - Water pump and gasket changed - Fan belt replaced - Oil and filter changed (Selina 20w 50) - Gearbox oil changed - New front brake discs and pads - New rear brake discs and pads - All 4 brake callipers serviced - Driver and passenger front brake hoses replaced - New wiper and indicator stalks - Various wiring issues sorted - Brake fluid changed - New washer bottle pump - Automatic choke recalibrated - New radiator fan switch - New Bosal exhaust system - New clear bumper lenses - Fuel filter replaced - Spark plugs changed - New ignition leads - Bonnet catch freed oiled and adjusted - Rolling road carried out with graph The values on these are cars are climbing, as such its a very safe place to physically park some cash, and with less than 24 examples left registered on UK roads you are unlikely to ever pass another one. £9,999 |
