2004 FORD MONDEO ST220 ESTATE 6 SPEED MANUAL Machine Silver/Black Recaro Leather 11 Service Stamps + Extensive Service Records Dr Owned For Last 11 Years Rare Appreciating Fast Ford 71 HD Images UK Delivery AG04 NEU Firets registered and pre delivery inspected by Ford Motor Company as a dealer demonstrator for the St Neots branch. Most likely a sales managers demo they owned it some 10 months until May 2005 where is was sold onto its second owner a Mr Mckay from Bearsden in Glasgow. His tenure lasted one year and four months whereupon he sold it to the third keeper a Mr Hamill of Newton Mearns in Glasgow in September 2006. The third owner had it for two years and three months eventually selling it onto his Father Dr Hamill also of Newton Mearns in Glasgow in December 2008 who has owned it since. Service History - £4881 of Bills This car has had fortunes spent on it throughout its life, it has always been maintained properly with routine servicing and all the records of said have been kept. There is a complete MOT history right back to the first one. The service back details 11 services plus other handwritten entries with work completed through the years. There is a substantial folder containing receipts for the services and parts purchased. This has been pictured. The last stamped service was in June 2018, one year ago and 7000 miles ago. I personally changed the oil and filter in Feb 19 however I have yet to stamp the book, however I will do. Currently the car is shod with a matching set of premium Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres that are evenly worn with lots of tread remaining. I have summarised some of the recent work below that is relevant for the last few years, all of which is documented. The Mondeo model had been about a good number of years before it got all this clever styling and most importantly one of the best petrol engines they ever made, it’s so smooth quiet and powerful and rarely goes wrong. A car that is superbly equipped and features everything a driver would ever need and want. Eighteen-inch Ronal alloys, full sports styling kit, lowered Suspension, front and rear quick clear windscreens which is a nod to the past, five stage driver and passenger heated seats that are roasting, multi- function leather sports ST wheel, leather trimmed gearshift, cruise control with manual tip, a fully comprehensive driver computer and information system, driver’s armrest, fully electric seats, elecyric folding mirrors, an awesome Sony Hi-fi with load changer which is amplified with a good speaker package and electronic digital climate control. This example also has oiptional xenon headlights. High on safety to with driver and passenger dual stage airbags. As well as these front bags there are side airbags for front seat occupants as well as side curtain airbags that stay inflated for longer in the case of a rollover type accident. Electronic anti-lock brakes with brakeforce distribution and brake assist are coupled with a reassuringly competent feel from the brake pedal. Computer aids in abundance with electronic Stability Control program that aims to prevent the car skidding off the road. Rain sensor wipers and auto lights. Remote central locking incorporating alarm and immobiliser. This car also has mud-flap pack, headlamp power wash and rear park control. The power from the engine is considerable and most notable is the power it has at any rev in any gear pulling strongly from just slightly more than idle speed. The silken smooth 3.0 V6 produces 224 bhp yet still manages to return 26-30 mpg as an average with 30 + on the highway run. An estate car that will see 150 mph and covers sixty in a shade over 6 seconds. The appeal for these rare Fords is strong, helped by a recent review of the model on the Grand Tour where the three amigos stated that it was one of the best cars Ford have ever produced. I have personally used this one as an alternative car for the last 5 months. It has never let me down, never failed to start and aside checking and setting the levels have had to spend no money on it. It has taken me everywhere. Ford really hit the nail on the head with this ST programme, a great driver’s car, it has seriously reassuring feedback from the steering, and a direct throw to the short gearchange. The boot is absolutely huge, and the cabin is very roomy front and rear. Condition The bodywork can be described as in good condition with the odd mark here and there given the paint is original. It has never been bumped and all the panels are as they left the factory. Around the car there are a few light trolley dents that are apparent when it’s all cleaned and polished. The alloys are solid and true, however these Ford wheels historically don’t wear well and the driver’s side wheel has several kerb marks, the other three wheels are in good condition, all tyres as mentioned are premium brand and in good order. The interior is in first class order with virtually no wear, the leather is tight with full colour, it’s never been smoked in. The headlining is like new. The boot is very clean, all the carpets and mats are very clean, there is no damage aboard whatsoever, it’s a pleasant well-kept place to spend time, every switch works properly without fail and it’s a fully functioning car. An alloy wheel refurbishment and a visit from the dent master would improve it, however, I have not bothered as it detracts from its appearance very little. Note: this service is available for £300 all in. The car bodywork has today been machine cut and polished, all glass polished as well.
