Its very original and not been tampered with or fallen into careless hands. Equally it has been very well serviced and sits on quality tyres and genuine brake components which in my experience is always the first thing to get skimped on. The S4 The S4's compact executive body subtly underplays its remarkable performance potential. A compact 4.2-litre eight-cylinder powerhouse that delivers a peak output of 340bhp along with 302lb ft of torque. Zero to 62mph acceleration dispatched in 5.6 seconds, onto an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph. However its far from just being a one-dimensional car, it provides a comfortable and functional cockpit, fine-quality materials and upscale conveniences. Its trump card for me is its adaptability, it sounds utterly fantastic, and when the weather turns foul its has tractional qualities that are truly inspiring for a driver. As one would expect, with a stock 340-horse V8, performance is thrilling whether highway or winding back roads, crucially this one has not been driven hard, it has covered some mileage as have all the best loved cars though significantly has been well treated and well serviced, an expensive car new and it has not been skimped on. High Specification Very highly appointed, the abundance of specification is not all standard on the S4 model. The Milltek exhaust is a real treat, its non resonated so its not brash, just deep. Clear read on the diagnostic, no fault codes and no faults. All tyres are Michelin, the fronts are new Alpine Winter tyres fitted 1000 miles ago and are excellent with 7.5 mm tread. The rears have 4.3mm tread. I had the alloys refinished back to exact factory specification and truly sparkle, I also refurbished the brakes calipers. All brake discs were recent on the car last year when I bought it. It has had the VAG recall, consisted of getting all 8 coil packs replaced due to the issue of misfire. Last week I had the car in at Glasgow Audi dealer for a checkover and they came back with virtually a perfect report. One spilt in a CV gator and the rear wash washer weak, the service technician commented that he had seen more issues and fault on a 2 year old car, testament to the build quality and the way this one has been maintained. Interior Audi interiors are some of the finest in the luxury car arena; one look at the S4's cabin and the high quality of materials used is quickly apparent. Tasteful accents abound, the serious performance intentions of the Audi S4 are reinforced by standard Recaro front seats which feature aggressive bolstering to hold one in place during spirited runs through the twisties. The cabin as is clearly visible from the many pictures is in excellent condition and in full working order. On The Road A genuinely outstanding pampered car that looks magnificent, smooth, rapid, stylish and luxurious all set to a glorious V8 soundtrack. The S4 is a car that makes sense in such a wet country as ours. With all wheel-drive traction and a whole raft of electronic safety measures, its effortlessly secure, a combination of big power, damp roads and an enthusiastic approach wont phase it at all. The added Milltek exhaust system is a rather expensive touch and worth every penny, every trip is as good as the last, the non resonated system gives a louder bark when you decide to open the taps and a wonderful V8 burble when coasting & cruising, utterly transforms the car and adds slightly to the power pushing it on some 15 - 20 bhp.
