The 986 Boxster
Since it's launch in 1996, the Boxster has seen off all comers. Driving the car
you soon realise that still nothing comes close. The best Roadster money can buy?
Probably. As a package the Boxster is as close to a precision driving instrument
that many of us are likely to get, to get a better performance drop top you have
to spend an awful lot more money, and this is why the Boxster is so successful,
a virtually unrivalled convertible that has sensible running costs and renound
reliability.

The early drive-by-wire cars with amber lenses are the models leading the
appreciation curve, these are the Boxster's to have. What a special colour too!

Condition
Looks to be mostly all original paint, this is evident looking in and around the shut lines
where appears to be factory finish, it's lovely to see. Stone chips and the odd blemish is all.
The cabin is a delight with fresh looking floors especially around the pedals and heel mat all
is very clean and belies the miles. Chairs are in superb order and more or less unmarked
as is the steering wheel with perfect leather. A very clean and fresh little Porsche inside and
out.
Wheels are the original factory wheels for the car and present very well. Wrapped in Pirelli
P-Zero tyres all round and with new colour crested centres.
The convertible roof works perfectly and the canvas is fresh and clean and the rear window
is not too cloudy. It presents very well all around the edges, yellow is a delight and I love it, it
makes a Porsche a special thing.

Summary
It's lovely.. I would be happy to have this in my own garage. An excellent introduction to the
Porsche hobby and a car that is appreciating today. The early 2.5 drive by wire car with
amber lenses is the model that is leading the appreciation curve, these early Boxsters are
the cars to have - and what a colour!!
