2011 VW TRANSPORTER T32 140 TDI 4X4 6SP MANUAL SWB - £14000 CONVERSION
Fiamma Awning/Kombi Bed/Privacy Room/Caramel Leather/Cruise
Alpine DAB/Bluetooth/Nav/Rear Camera/LED/USB/Towbar

The T32
This is the T32 model which has the greatest carrying capacity from a load point
of view and uprated chassis and springs to accommodate this. The more desirable
6 speed manual version blends the best combination of performance with frugality.
It is also a 4motion which is permanent 4 wheel drive, this features the sought
after rear differential lock option which is quite rare as it was an expensive
option.

Cookies & Cream - Specification & Conversion
The upgrading took place in 2016 and was extensive with invoices totalling £14,000.
This was meticulously planned with everything having a purpose or meaning. She has
been affectionately names Cookies and Cream or CC.

The ICE in the transporter includes….
Alpine DAB, navigation, Bluetooth system. This is the large screen model and
works in conjunction with the rear view camera. This system is separately
switchable without the ignition to allow use whilst the transporter is parked up
and uses the leisure battery when the ignition is off.
In the glovebox there is a USB output for charging and a HDMI port, this allows
you to play movies, stream live TV or watch you tube via your mobile device to
either the fold down roof mounted monitor in the rear or the front navigation
screen.
Additional speakers have been fitted in the rear quarters with correct insulation
to prevent any reverberation and maintain sound quality. All this work was carried
out by renowned ICE specialists ‘Car Radio Services’ in Perth.

The transporter has been fitted with the correct transporter spec. Fiamma F45s
awning which has been colour coded to match the paint in the upper portion of
the van. Also purchased, but as yet unused is the corresponding Fiamma privacy
room 260. This is a great piece of equipment and adds an essential dimension to
the flexibility of the package.

The seats have been reupholstered in caramel leather. This job was done by hand
by a local upholsterer and is to a very high standard, right down to the double
drivers armrests. Both the drivers seat and the double passenger seat rotate to
face the rear.

The bed in the rear is made by exploria and is called a kombi bed. This bed option
was selected over a normal rock and roll bed because it gives the benefit of the
vans full load carrying capacity underneath and is preferred to a pop up roof as
the van is more secure, quieter and sharper looking. This preserved under bed
space is handy for bikes, canoes, pets, luggage etc etc. The cushions were
specified with the vinyl upholstery option and the bed was one of the first
2016 kombi bed II supplied by exploria…. It was worth the wait.

CC has enjoyed a full respray including all shuts and under bonnet. You will not
find any hint of original colour. This has been carried out to a high standard
and the attention to detail is relentless. Even the front and rear VW badges
were removed and colour coded.

CC has been fully insulated…. Floor, sides and roof. Before the ply and carpeting
process took place. This insulation was the more expensive spray on type which
gives better coverage and helps prevent any condensation build up.
Wind deflectors so the front windows can be open for ventilation without water
ingress during rain made by ClimAir.
Full black out curtains including windscreen, side windows and rear windows.
Electric hook up.
Dimmable LED roof light which can be operated from either the bed, rear door or
side door.
Low profile with aero cowel roof mounted extractor fan with reverse setting.
Removable table socket fitted to the floor. (currently there is the post for the
table, but no table top. This can be easily made from any piece of wood and
screwed to the post. The reason it is not finished is that it was never needed,
but this allows you to spec your own table top).
In the rear there are USB charging sockets and normal plug socket positioned
strategically around the van. These run off either the vehicle or leisure battery.
Both side windows slide open to allow ventilation.
Rear view camera.
This upgrading programme was carried out by the ‘Wee Spray Shop’ in Perth.

The decision was made not to fix any units in the transporter to maintain its
flexibility as a usable space. You can buy lift in and out sink and cooking pods
online which would work well for cooking outside or just go with the old fashion
camping stove! The benefit of this approach is that you are not fixed to cooking
inside the van and can have a more communal ‘camping’ experience.

The van has factory Air Con which has recently been re-gassed, cruise control,
twin arm rests for the driving seat, factory tow bar.
