This is as beautiful a 3.2 car as one could ever hope to own, there is no
substitute for condition and originality, and any deviation destroys the
purity of these machines. These are historic machines now and are genuine
iconic classics, a term too loosely applied these days though in this case
quite apt. From the drivers perspective the perfect sense of occasion,
totally captivating and a vehicle that looks very special indeed. This 87
3.2 Carrera Sport coupe is the last of the torsion bar suspended cars and
this example is therefore the ultimate evolution of that classic original
template that has been refined since 1965. This example is to be coveted
and cherished and certainly the G50 Sport coupe is the 3.2 model to own
and are largely unavailable now to buy anywhere without a doubt.

*Famous 1st Owner

I recall `87 quite well, I was a keen golfer and British golf was at the top
of its' game with many of our players taking majors in the 80s. This 911 was
Ian Woosnams specced by him and he had had his license revoked for six
months for driving it at 122 mph on the M6 motorway. The West Bromwich
magistrate who imposed the ban was unimpressed that the offender was "Woosie"
the tiny terror of British golf, and that he was returning triumphant after
having helped Europe defeat the U.S. in the Ryder Cup for the second straight
time, he had been trying to get home in a hurry from the South and his new
Porsche did just that and more. A Glenvarigill group Porsche GB car first owned
and registered by the legend that is.....

*The 87 To 1989 Run out Model

This is the model in high demand with full factory Sport pack, a timeless
glamorous look. The car has all the standard spec and being the later model
features the greatly improved G50 gearbox and hydraulic clutch, a more
robust transmission that shifts positively and accurately with a notable
light fluid operation to all the controls. Full Sport package with sports
suspension, Sports seats, electric sunroof, windows, mirrors and seats and
superb original deep dish alloys and this car has a wonderful stance.

Full Porsche service history with 17 stamps, no outstanding issues, fully
serviced, and a conversion has been carried out to allow the car to run
properly on regular unleaded though it does excel on high octane fuel
which it has received religiously. Nothing outstanding and detailed below
is a summary of some not all of the larger jobs carried out over the last
5 years.

- Extensive work to fuel tank, lines and hoses, whole system overhauled.
- Fuel pump & whole assembly replaced, new brackets, gaskets, sender unit

At the last service a number of key items were attended to to ensure the car
is running in top order. Also, the sunroof which can be a problem with these
older cars has been stripped down with all new cables and associated fittings
renewed. Those who are familiar with the 3.2 cars will recognise these jobs to
be essential time based maintenance for the model and as such this motor is
running to the best of its ability.

- Oil changed with new OEM filter
- Air filter, fuel filter, 6 spark plugs (ALL oem)
- Throttle body assembly stripped and cleaned
- Air flow meter calibrated
- Distributor serviced
- Gearbox oil changed
- Idle bypass valve cleaned and tested
- Aux belts changed.

*Coachwork

Beautifully preserved Inner wings, sills and door shuts. Rarely seen in such
a beautiful condition as this. Viewing is highly recommended, and examples
such as this disappeared a good while ago. A high standard of finish &
presentation with straight non dented panels this Carrera has a true shine
having been prepared and maintained to the very highest of detailing standards.
The underside of the vehicle being in superb order.

*Interior

Definitive chairs, full leather piped wide bolstered Sport electric
seats, the seats and carpets are in great order and will satisfy even
the most particular of standards. The dash and extended trim is in a fine
state of preservation managing to smell exactly as it should, all
part of the occasion, and in full working order.

*Summary

To summarise this is today avery rare opportunity to secure this iconic classic,
and cannot stress that early contact is encouraged to avoid disappointment.
The fixed head post 87 pre 89 cars with the desirable attributes they posses
as an investment should be a no brainer, holds its money better than gold.
The definitive pre impact bumper cars do not get purer than this, managing to
look fine & dainty and the silhouette it cuts over an A road will raise any
pulse, the values are only ever going one way people, don't hesitate.
