1978 Triumph Dolomite 1850 HL Rare Automatic Sandglow Yellow 62,000 Genuine Miles Highly Original Survivor MoT & Tax Exempt Lovely old Dolomite, now tax and MoT exempt. Belonged to previous keepers, an elderly couple who kept it garaged for over 15 years. It was only parted with as the lady was getting too old to drive, her eyesight was deteriorating. However, it has been in continuous and regular use throughout and the last MoT expired July 2019 and now being exempt, it will not need to be tested ever again. The MoT history confirms that it is in superb order and has never even had an advisory within the last 11 years! This is a very useable and reliable classic that simply bursts into life straight off the key and can be relied upon to take you anywhere and back again. The overall condition is very good noting that it's been sealed with Dinitrol from new (check the old sticker on the rear screen!) so it is totally solid underneath. The period Sandglow paint work is fabulous with a proper shine, it does have the odd age related mark or 'patina' in places and the interior is exemplary, it still has the original LW/MW radio, totally unspoilt and presents just as it would have decades earlier. The engine bay is immaculate too with it's chromed rocker cover and all is nice and clean and leak free. Recent work includes reconditioned gearbox, a new starter motor and a stainless steel exhaust. It is full of character and a joy to drive, there are no rattles knocks or bangs that you would usually associate with a car of this vintage, it truly has been very well preserved and loved by the previous keepers where it had become part of the family. All the handbooks are present within the owners pack along with a pile of previous MoT's the mileage is correct at 62,000. A ream of old invoices and bills accompany along a couple of workshop manuals that you just don't see anymore with today's modern cars. This will make someone very happy indeed, a superb starter classic in excellent condition ready to enjoy. You can welcome this is as a new member of your family.
