MR2 MK2 2.0 GT 16V- A MODERN APPRECIATING CLASSIC A Very Rare Opportunity - An Iconic 90s Sports Car 88000 Miles - Cambelt - Serviced - New Exhaust - New Clutch 100 % Factory Original - Removeable Sunroof Flawless Red - This Has To Be Seen The MR2 MK2 The MR2 is an iconic machine, for many the archetypal sports car of the 90s, and I used to adore them as a teenager. A shock to Japan, and the rest of the world on launch, Toyota brought the mid-engined MR2 to the table in 1984. No Japanese car manufacturer had ever attempted to sell a mid-engined car before. The MK2 MR2 is a performance car first and foremost. Its a very capable driver even by todays standards and this one drives as straight and tight as the day it left the factory, a bold statement though one which I am willing to be held to. Even by any modern 2-seater’s standards the drive braking and handling of this vehicle is superb and as such is most likely an example unlikely to be replicated in a hurry anywhere in the Uk. Being mid-engined, the car has an almost perfectly neutral balance, pure driving feedback, the car almost talking to you to tell you what it is doing or going to do. The steering is very light and precise, and since it’s a rear-wheel drive, the turning circle is very tight indeed. The stock alloys are great and furthermore the whole vehicle is entirely original specification right down to the Blaupunkt CD hi fi unit. In full working order and as such an utter delight. Condition Completely untouched, the paintwork is sensational with no rust scratches or dents anywhere, furthermore, the paint glistens with a deep finish. The paint finish looks like a two year old car and indeed if the odometer read 20000 miles it would be taken as read. All the glass is original with ever panel etched with the original supplied number. Becoming rather collectable, these models in original condition with sunroof spec are more desirable than the T bar that leaks and offers less rigidity. This will certainly fit into a collection nicely. All the panels are perfect, they have never been removed and as such line up straight and true. Its as nice underneath as is it is on top and any inspection is welcome. It is a perfect mechanical specimen in every way as it should be for a vehicle that has been garaged and pampered with little mileage in its 27 years. I have driven this wee car at length over the last few weeks and can bear testament to the wonderful preserved state it is to be found in, it never fails to deliver maximum satisfaction with zero disappointment every time you take it out. Ready to be driven showed or shined. These cars have yet to appreciate like everything else seems to have done so in essence are at the bottom of the curve, however they wont stay at these prices much longer.
