Foreword
This represents an absolute performance bargain. There is next
to nothing that will offer so much on so many levels as this
example here. A 4wd V8 estate car with a manual gearbox, a very
high specification, in full working order with no faults that
has been tried & tested by myself over the last year being used
as a general tool up & down the country. As one of my cars that
needed to be reliable it has performed majestically and been an
utter pleasure to use, even returning me a long term average of
25.1 mpg thanks to the manipulation & diversity of the very rare
manual gearbox option. The last of the analogue magic.
This Car - B7 facelift
I have owned a few of these B7s over the years however this is a
stand out example that has been extremely well maintained
throughout its life. Very well serviced which in my experience
is always the first thing to get skimped on as a car ages.
Sharp looking Avant with a complete story with nothing missing,
certainly a future classic these models are drying up and have
stopped depreciating. At its finest in rare Moro Blue pearl, and
it’s just been professionally detailed.
The S4
The S4's compact executive body subtly underplays its remarkable
performance potential. A compact 4.2-litre 8-cylinder
powerhouse, mildly tuned to delivers around 340 bhp. However,
its far
from just being a one-dimensional car, it provides a comfortable
and
functional cockpit, fine-quality materials, and upscale
conveniences.
Its trump card for me is its adaptability, it sounds utterly
fantastic,
and when the weather turns foul its has tractional qualities
that are
truly inspiring for a driver.
As one would expect, with this amount of performance its
thrilling whether
highway or winding back roads, crucially this one has not been
driven hard,
it has covered some mileage (125000) as have all the best loved
cars though significantly has been well treated, an expensive
car new.
Service History
The car runs and drives completely without fault and is a credit
to its
previous owners. It comes with the original Audi leather wallet,
with all
books and service portfolio stamped up. A box folder that weighs
kilos details a huge paper record, with a summary of the major
jobs detailed below.

The interior of the car is remarkably clean and wears its
mileage incredibly
well. With next to no wear on the leather steering wheel, almost
perfect seat
bolsters and no holes or dents in the carpets.
Audi interiors are some of the finest in the luxury car arena;
one
look at the S4's cabin and the high quality of materials used is
quickly
apparent. Tasteful accents abound, the serious performance
intentions
of the Audi S4 are reinforced by standard Recaro front seats
which
feature aggressive bolstering to hold one in place during
spirited runs
through the twisties. The cabin as is clearly visible from the
many
pictures is in excellent condition and in full working order.
On The Road
A genuinely outstanding pampered car that looks magnificent,
smooth,
rapid, stylish and luxurious all set to a glorious V8 soundtrack
with
a mid sports note Milltek exhaust.
The S4 is a car that makes sense in such a wet country as ours.
With all
wheel-drive traction and a whole raft of electronic safety
measures,
its effortlessly secure, a combination of big power, damp roads
and an
enthusiastic approach wont phase it at all. |
