2006 56 SAAB 9-5 AERO (660) HOT 260PS RARE MANUAL SALOON Fusion Blue - Park Control - Winter Pack Two Owner Car - Only 75000 Miles Full Saab Dealer/Specialist Service Records High End Factory Specification Exceptional Value Appreciating Modern Classic/The Last Real Saab Turbo First registered and pre delivery inspected by County Saab in Old Stratford on 19-12-2006. This was a company demo for the first 5 months being sold onto its first private owner a Mr Mitchel of Ayrshire in on 04-05-2007. A long term Saab owners club member he kept the car for more than 10 years selling it on some 10 years later on 21.11.07 to the second owner (Mr Bolton of Edinburgh) an elderly gentleman and also a lifelong Saab enthusiast. He would have kept the car however an issue with his hip forced him to replace with another 9-5 with auto gearbox and I bought it direct from him. This is the final run out model for the Saab 9-5 and as such is the last real performance Saab. Its also the most powerful production model they produced, this one with a high end factory specification and a winning color/trim scheme. For Saab enthusiasts out there this should get your pulse racing. Finding a low mileage manual Aero is difficult as they are superb machines and tend to be coveted by their owners, the manual gearbox is well suited and allows fuel consumption to be manipulated with 40 mpg figures easily achieved when touring, which for such a high performance car is superb. There is a cult band of followers for these cars, they were well made and specced and they are now appreciating in value. This example has a great turn of spec and an attractive combination of Blue and cream leathers. Note : Still bears its original supplied dealer plates fron to rear and the rear window decal. The Aero Model A superb flagship Aero model boasting a class leading spec and excellent condition. The Aero is a fully equipped model with tweaks to handling and performance and is engineered extremely well, developed over nearly 30 years Saab Turbo charging is highly acclaimed. The HOT models have a high pressure turbocharger that exploits the max from the 2.3 4 cyl unit and offers on tap power normally associated with V8 powered engines. 260 bhp and all about mid range performance or the power to overtake quickly and effectively by manipulation of the turbo. Fuel economy is excellent with 35 to 40mpg possible on a longer run. The auto manual with optional steering wheel change allows the considerable power to be exploited and the fuel consumption to be manipulated. 2006/7 Model Year Changes The most obvious difference to the 9-5 was its new front-end, it looks longer though actually isn't. Inside the cabin there's been more mild tinkering, a revised dashboard offering nicer-feeling switches and a slightly more up market look than the old one. The seats are amazingly comfortable and the 9-5's still a superb motorway muncher. A mild revision of suspension setting, fractionally firmer edged and 260 bhp through the front wheels rather effectively, from 2000-5500rpm there's an impressively linear wodge of overtaking power to be mined, and here is a car that can truly murder a straight.
