GREEN Highly Original Collectable Early Car 70,000 Miles With Complete History Cherry Bomb Bullet Silencers The Car The TVR Chimaera remains one of the best TVR's ever to leave Blackpool's factory. With its Rover 4 litre V8 the soundtrack is glorious and has enough punch for hours of fun, whilst still requiring careful handling the car delivers effortless performance weighing very little indeed, an apparent ability to offer up seemingly limitless swells of torque and sheer grunt when asked keeps you on the ball, driving it quickly requires good skills. The early model and some say the best Chimaera looks awesome in Brooklands Green and Biscuit cabin which is similar though superior to the Magnolia, in my opinion. The early model cars have the door entry reliably where it should be. And of course, this is the non power steering version which is to my mind preferable creating a more hands on drive and proper feel that power assistance can never give. Direct in part exchange from the owner of 10 years with only 4 other keepers on record. The car was sourced for him by none other than the late Peter Wheeler himself, tasked at the time to find the best 12 year old car he could acquire. Beautiful condition and a perfect driver, never tracked or smashed. The History 11 Stamps + Considerable Paperwork Prepped and pre delivery inspected and registered on 11.01.95 by TVR dealer Station Hill Garage. This is a stock example with a no add ons and all the better for it, right down the original working stereo and speakers. Crucially it has a superb history including the leather vehicle passport containing the owners handbook and service history. A file of supporting bills date all the way back together with a comprehensive MOT record. As a precautionary measure it has been fitted with a manual cooling fan override that has never had to be used but gives peace of mind. The Cherry Bomb exhaust system does not make the car dramatically louder, however is a true cherry bomb system with bullet style silencers, retaining the perforated sections. It does not increase volume too much, but makes the car much more throaty when put under load. You can cruise comfortably with it, and it gives a great sound when you want it to. The fitting and manufacture is also top notch and with lots of machine gun bangs and crackles on the overrun, pure driving enjoyment. Everything is working order as checked. The paint looks to be pretty much original presenting remarkably well with good finish and of course they do not rust. All of the panels are free from dings and it presents with a depth of shine having being kept well detailed. Tyres/Alloys The rims also appear original finish and in very tidy order with the correct finish. The tyres are all recent and are a matching set of Dunlop SP Sports and it rides and handles beautifully on these. Summary It would be a hard task to find a better early more desirable Chimera that has been serviced so well and is found complete with all the correct bits. Buy a good one now while they are still affordable.
